I start often to visit a coffee shop since early 2017 because my family had a plan to make a coffee shop. And then after that, I make research of some coffee shop in Yogyakarta, Bandung, Jakarta, Lampung, Surabaya and Tangerang that I traveled.
Because of that, I love coffee in a different way. When I've started the research, I drink a lot of coffee for 3 months, everyday no excuses. I try every different brew methods such as:
A. Black Coffee
B. Filtered Coffee
C. French Press Coffee
D. Percolated Coffee
E. Cold Brew Coffee
F. Espresso (Cappuccino, Latte, Macchiato, Affogato, Americano)
G. Kopi susu
All that methods using different tools. And then end up with the specific coffee bean types such as robusta and arabica. I regularly try a lot of coffee and made me nausea, vomiting then increased my heart and breathing rate. It because every coffee beans contain caffeine that impacts on hormones and neurotransmitters. After that, I reduce the quantity of the coffee for a week or change it to the lower amount of the coffee in one glass (Change cappuccino into a latte or hot serve to cold serve). And it works for me.
When I visited every coffee shop, I love to chat with the owner or the barista. Because of I curious about the story behind that. I get a suggestion for one of the owner if you want to try the taste of the coffee and the skill of the barista, try cappuccino or single origin without sugar (Cappucino and single origin is just different technique to serve coffee with different tools). After that, I find 10 top favorite coffee shop that I've visited so far. Oh ya, not only the taste of the coffee but also the interior their offer. I don't standardize the design because every design is unique and have their story, but the atmosphere that they made to make the customer feel comfy.
